Roots and Wings has two budget drafts: a $1.2M base production plan and an expanded option of approximately $1.4M that adds fees for the main cast and featured performers. The expanded figure depends on talent rates.
$1.2M Base Budget
Lean production scope. Pinnacle principals fund 25% and are looking for partners to join for the balance.
Approximately $1.4M With Main Talent
Adds fees for the main cast and featured performers to the $1.2M base. Final figure depends on talent rates.
Draft figures are subject to final casting, locations, schedule, and negotiated rates.
Budget Categories
Above-the-Line
Writing, producing, directing, and cast-related costs, with main talent fees distinguished between the two drafts.
Production
Crew, equipment, locations, production design, wardrobe, transportation, catering, and other principal-photography costs.
Post-Production
Editing, sound, color, music, and delivery materials.
Contingency
An allowance for unforeseen production expenses, as detailed in the budget drafts.
